Key responsibilities include: conducting audits of payment requisitions for construction-related contract work including change orders; performing a final review and examination of prices, reimbursable costs to ensure that payment requests are in accordance with HUD guidelines and the NYC Office of the Comptroller's Directives; technical trade labor rates; multipliers; overhead factors and other related documents in order to certify the fairness and reasonableness of contract changes; and may include performing field inspections to verify that work is of good quality and has progressed sufficiently to warrant payment requested. Auditors review documentation submitted by the contractors and conduct field visits to construction sites to inspect and verify work done. Auditors will participate in field surveys; engage in engineering investigations and studies; attend meetings; and prepare calculations and reports.
Minimum qualification requirements:
Bachaler's degree in engineering, construction, architecture, landscape architecture.
New York state professional engineering license or valid New York State registration as an architect. New York State municipal engineering experience is a plus.
