Position Summary: The Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine is seeking a clinician to work at the WakeBrook campus in Raleigh, NC. In addition to a Crisis and Assessment clinic operating at all times, the campus consists of a 28 bed acute inpatient unit and two 16 bed residential units that provide facility based crisis services and non-hospital medical detoxification. This is a fixed term position at the Clinical Instructor rank. This position is on the facility-based crisis unit. The major expectation for this position will be the provision of individual, group, and family therapy to residents of Wake County diagnosed with a variety of psychiatric and substance use conditions.
Education Requirements: Applicants must have a Master's degree in a human services field (i.e. Masters in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology) and be eligible for North Carolina licensure.
Qualification and Experience: The successful candidate will have strong clinical skills and experience working with a multi-disciplinary team, including trainees from a variety of disciplines. Candidate should have clinical experience (particularly individual and group therapy) working with adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses, and adults with substance use disorders.
