Job description

Duties: This position serves as the receptionist for the Graduate Division of Arts and Sciences. The person is responsible for managing the daily interactions with faculty, staff, students and other visitors to the division. Responsible for answering and/or referring calls to the appropriate staff member. The position is pivotal especially during the three degree cycles when there is a high volume of students making appointments and visiting the office from every school within the university. The person is responsible for maintaining the Dean's calendar and organizing/scheduling large meetings. The position supports the admissions director in the processing of more than 6,000 electronic admission applications during the fall and early spring semesters. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail and an ability to multi-task.

Qualifications: A High School Diploma or GED is required and 2 years to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellent written and oral communication; experience in an office setting with public contact; strong organizational and filing skills; intermediate level skills in MS Office (including MS Word and Excel);basic knowledge of databases highly desirable.
