Associate Professor/Professor - Director of Comprehensive Care
The School is located on the Anschutz Medical Campus in new, state-of-the-art facilities. The campus is home to schools of medicine, pharmacy, nursing, public health and dental medicine, and multiple hospitals and affiliate institutions, located in the Denver metropolitan area near the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. It accepts a DDS class-size of 80 students each year along with 40 students in its International Student Program. The School also offers the following additional programs: General Practice Residency, Periodontics, Pediatric and Orthodontics graduate programs.
The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine invites qualified applications for a full-time Associate Professor/Professor position on the tenure or clinical track as the Director of the Comprehensive Care Program, in the Department of Restorative Dentistry The Program is responsible for the management of the group practices that support the clinical education of DDS and advanced standing international students. The Comprehensive Care Program Director will work closely with the faculty, administration and students to ensure a high quality learning experience for students, a high quality care experience for patients, and the safe and compliant operation of the Comprehensive Care Clinics. The emphasis of this position is to provide the leadership and future vision for the program and to develop collaborative intra and interprofessional learning and patient care opportunities. Outstanding opportunities exist for collaborative studies in a wide range of disciplines/areas across the Anschutz Medical Campus and with other University of Colorado affiliated institutions.
The responsibilities of the director include the overall administration and leadership of the Comprehensive Care Program, representation of the vision of the Program in school-wide initiatives, teaching in the DDS Program and the advanced standing International Student Program, faculty collaborations on research projects and funding opportunities, and the development of novel research/scholarly/teaching and learning programs that complement existing strengths in the school of dental medicine.
The successful candidate will have a DDS degree from an accredited US dental school or its foreign equivalent, and must be eligible for licensure in the state of Colorado. Preference will be given to candidates with advanced education in an area that will complement the future growth of the program and school of dental medicine.
A demonstrated record of collaborative publications, external funding and past leadership experience are desired.
Salary and Benefits:
