Anesthesiology Residency Program Director
The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine seeks applicants for the position of Residency Program Director. Candidates should be Board-certified in Anesthesiology, qualify for the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, have experience in graduate medical education, and be eligible for a license to practice medicine in the state of Colorado.
The Anesthesiology core residency program has 49 trainees; 4 at the Clinical Base Year level and 15 in each of the CA-1 to CA-3 classes. Residents rotate at the University of Colorado Hospital and three affiliate hospitals: Denver Health, the Denver VA Hospital, and Children's Hospital Colorado. In 2016, the ACGME again provided continued full accreditation with the comment that: "The Review Committee commended the program for its demonstrated substantial compliance with the ACGME's Program Requirements and/or Institutional Requirements without any new citations." The department provides excellent administrative support for the residency training program.
