The Department of Radiology, University of Colorado Denver, and the Department of Pediatric Radiology, Children's Hospital Colorado, has an opening for a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor of Radiology specializing in in vivo fetal imaging. The post-holder will report to the Director of Pediatric Radiology Research, the Chair of Radiology and the Chair of Pediatric Radiology. The successful candidate will be integrated within the newly established pediatric radiology research program, and will develop an internationally recognized research program focused on fetal and placental imaging.
The Advanced Imaging Labs is a joint venture between the University of Colorado and Children's Hospital Colorado aimed at establishing a world class pediatric research center that develops and applies leading edge imaging technology to answer pressing clinically-focused questions. Housed in a new 8000 sq. ft. research pavilion, academic and clinical researchers have access to a wide variety of state-of-the-art facilities and resources. These include multiple MRI, PET-CT, and US units. Research-dedicated systems are also available on campus. Researchers have dedicated use of an expanding computational facility for image reconstruction, analysis, and simulation. Children's Hospital Colorado and the University of Colorado School of Medicine have full research agreements in place with Siemens and Phillips, supporting the development of new and innovative imaging methods and techniques.
PhD in Physics, Biomedical or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Neuroscience, Psychology, or associated field.
At least 3 years post-doctoral experience in imaging techniques, including structural and/or functional imaging methods applied to fetal brain, cardiac, or placenta.
Established track record of publications in leading peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Experience with the Phillips pulse sequence programming environment.
Successful record of federal, industrial, or foundation research funding.
Past leadership roles in scientific bodies.
