Assistant Teaching Professor
The Department of Pathology and Anatomical Sciences at the University of Missouri School of Medicine is seeking a non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor of anatomy beginning August 2017. The primary responsibility of this position is teaching clinically relevant human anatomy to medical students as part of the anatomy teaching team, operating within a progressive patient-based medical education curriculum.
Qualifications: Preference will be given to individuals with experience in teaching dissection-based human anatomy to medical students. Applicants should be committed to excellence in teaching and scholarship. Candidates with interests in morphology-based research and whose interests complement those of current faculty in the Integrative Anatomy group (http://anatomy.missouri.edu) will be given greatest consideration. The Integrative Anatomy Group provides a collegial environment with substantial opportunities for intellectual creativity and diverse research, including educational research and curricular evaluation. The position requires a PhD, MD or equivalent in professional training and expertise.
Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
