Job Description

Assistant Professor in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health

Position Title: Assistant Professor

Position Type: Tenure-Track/Non-tenure track

Department: Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health

City: Columbia, Missouri

General Information: We seek candidates with a Ph.D. and or/M.D with interest and expertise in the control and effects of epigenetic regulation in women’s reproductive health or perinatology. This might include, but would not be limited to, DNA methylation, histone modifications, small non-coding RNAs and the ability to work with large datasets. A research focus in the epigenetic mechanisms of developmental origins of health and disease, placental growth and development, reproductive health and disease or reproductive cancer is preferred. Successful candidates would be expected to collaborate with other investigators within the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health and beyond. Applicants should have a well-developed research program or plan to develop one including demonstrated success or potential in obtaining extramural funding. Other duties would include departmental service and possibly teaching. Co-appointment in other departments is a possibility if the candidate so desires.
