The Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing at the University of California, Irvine seeks applicants for the position in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series. The Program currently offers a M.S. degree with two tracks: 1) Nurse practitioner track, which will transition to a DNP by fall 2018; 2) pre-licensure MEPN (Master's Entry Program in Nursing) with a concentration in Community and Population Health Nursing.
The position will be offered at the Health Sciences Clinical Assistant Professor level. Faculty will be a clinical provider in the Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing Faculty Practice. This recruitment is for clinicians who have experience in an underserved community clinic setting or Federally-Qualified Health Center (FQHC) practice. Faculty will precept students in the Nurse Practitioner and Pre-licensure nursing programs. Level and salary are commensurate with background and experience.
DUTIES: FQHC/Ambulatory patient care and precepting of NP and Pre-Licensure nursing students.
REQUIREMENTS: DNP/NP nationally-certified in Adult, Gerontology, Adult/Gerontology Primary Care, or Family/Individual across the lifespan, excellent clinical skills, excellent communication skills, experience with clinical and didactic teaching, desire to work in an interdisciplinary team. Doctorate preferred; Master's degree, in Nursing or Post-Masters Certificate, California RN license, and California NP Certificate required.
DESIRED SKILLS: Bilingual (Spanish); teaching and leadership experience; interest in scholarly activities.
