The Lewis Center for the Arts seeks a Technical Support Associate to join a growing team supporting students and faculty in the Programs in Visual Arts as well as Theater, Dance, Creative Writing and the Princeton Atelier. Competitive applicants will possess working knowledge of Mac OS X 10.9.x - 10.12.x (Server and Client) and Windows 7/8.1/10 operating system and server environments, Adobe CS6 and CC, including Photoshop, Premier, Illustrator and other components, Microsoft Office and Apple Pro Applications including Final Cut Pro, Soundtrack, Motion and Aperture. Experience with configuration and support for a variety of e-mail and web tools including OS X Mail, Outlook Exchange and Thunderbird. Familiarity with legacy versions of IE, Edge, Firefox, Quicktime Pro, Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and ImageReady are also a plus.
Primary responsibilities will include configuration, installation and maintenance of Macintosh and PC based computer systems, coordinating with staff and faculty to provide onsite support in a variety of computer and audio-visual equipment applications, and working with the Technical Manager to optimize and maintain the performance of Academic, Administrative and Public Access computing systems. Additional responsibilities include supporting two Macintosh based classrooms, public access stations and the peripheral equipment used by students in those facilities.
This position will require the ability to work independently and as part of a team with flexible schedules, including some evening and weekend hours as scheduled. Essential abilities will include troubleshooting productivity, multimedia and graphics software issues, information access tools, web and server based administrative storage and desktop applications including PeopleSoft, Blackboard, collaborative and printing processes in a multi-platform computing environment. High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to lift 70 pounds, work on 6-foot ladder.
Other qualities for this position include a background in a customer service environment, strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously for a variety of campus and off-campus locations and events.
