General Description of Position: This position will be responsible for assisting with initiating and delivering an information assurance graduate program on the Polytechnic campus. Program delivery options include face-to-face, online, and professional education settings. Information about the College/Unit: Kansas State Polytechnic provides a small campus atmosphere with a professional learning environment built on theory, research and industry application in the classroom. Students can choose from 13 undergraduate programs and a Professional Master of Technology, making the university an equally diverse community of traditional and nontraditional students. Kansas State Polytechnic is proud to be one of four campuses in the Kansas State University system. The Successful Candidate will: Be qualified to serve as a professional faculty member with extensive professional experience in cyber security and also experience in cyber security/information assurance academic program startup and teaching in higher education. Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in related discipline
  • 15 years experience in cyber security/information assurance including executive level leadership experience
  • Experience initiating and delivering academic programs in cybersecurity/information assurance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with the U.S. Government on T.S. information security projects
  • Industry-recognized expert/leader in field
  • 5 years academic faculty experience
