Assistant or Associate Professor, Anatomical/Structural Sciences
The Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine (http://medicine.hofstra.edu) seeks a qualified medical educator to participate in the delivery of Structure, an integrated longitudinal course that includes anatomy, pathology, histology, embryology and medical imaging. Applicants will also participate in the facilitation of our case-based learning curriculum and will be expected to engage in scholarly activities related to medical education research.
Successful applicants must possess a MD or DO degree and must have experience instructing medical students in clinically oriented anatomical and structural sciences (anatomy, histology, medical imaging, pathology). Candidates must demonstrate willingness to contribute to multidisciplinary medical instruction in the laboratory, small group, and large group settings. The successful applicant will also contribute to the instruction of clinical skills with the assistance of standardized patients and in a variety of settings such as the simulation laboratory. We are especially interested in candidates who integrate clinical medicine into their teaching or are able to teach across several of the disciplines listed above.
