The University Box Office Assistant Manager will assist with the managing of ticketing, box office, and other administrative operations for all events and programs of the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. Provide professional box office service and administrative support for the Skirball Center or any other venue in which the Skirball Center presents events or performances. Provide support for the box office by managing the daily operations of the box office and supervising the cashier staff, maintaining the ticketing system, and verifying event information across several databases and systems. Assist with financial accounting of the box office, including preparing the daily deposit and tracking box office transactions. Act as Box Office Manager in Box Office Manager's absence.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree

Required Experience: 2 years' experience overseeing box office operations or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working in a University or large performing arts venue.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and problem-solving skills. Must be flexible and be able to prioritize demands. Ability to multi-task independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to perform ticket and revenue accounting and implement audit systems and audit trails. Demonstrated success managing and training ticket office support staff. Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels within and outside the University and possess judgment and discretion needed to handle confidential information. Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including hours before and after all ticketed performances. Proficiency with database, spreadsheet, and word processing. Knowledge of and ability to support new applications and ticketing software.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Experience utilizing and managing a computerized ticketing software system (Tessitura). Fluid ability to understand and work in a 'cloud computing' environment, using Windows, Mac, or both. Demonstrated success diverse campus community. Awareness of New York City cultural and entertainment opportunities and industry trends.
