This position oversees aspects of print production in the Evoke a print studio. Responsible for developing and training of student staff. This position is largely a function of organization and problem solving, and requires production management processes, project management and takes a detail-oriented approach to their work. This position must work well with clients and others, advising team on best practices for the efficient execution of projects.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphics Design, and or related fields of equivalent technical school training.
  • Three or more years of print production

Required Experience

  • Three-five years' experience in using wide format printers, graphic software programs, and with computers in a network environment.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite software ‐InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Proficient with Onyx and/or Caldera RIP software
  • Working knowledge of digital large format printing processes
  • Good understanding of MS Office Word, Excel
  • Extensive knowledge of wide format digital printing process in display and retail.
  • Ability to organize, scheduling and meet production deadlines
  • Proactive about providing technical solutions

Primary Duties

  • Assists customers in utilizing Evoke a print studio on how to best complete their projects.
  • Monitor jobs in production and communicates with managers, production staff and print production designer regarding special jobs, proofs, and delivery schedule.
  • Responsible for managing clients files, setup of prepress, color management, color profiling of equipment, operating print equipment, procurement of materials & inventory, workflow scheduling, quality assurance to meet client's deadlines and budgets.
  • Supervise student staff customer services skills, training and evaluates skills acquired, i.e. software programs - Adobe-illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, iMovie, iDVD, Acrobat, Microsoft-Publisher, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and scanning procedures.
  • May serve as back up to the storefront following all policies and procedures.
  • Maintain department policies and procedures.
  • Installation of product based on customer projects.
  • Adhering to all pricing and inventory procedures and ensuring accurate inventory levels at all times.
  • Performs other duties related to job description as assigned by supervisor.
  • Regular, punctual attendance as required by the supervisor based on department needs.
  • Operates POS, ensures quality control for completed orders, follows opening and closing procedures, and accounts for sales.
  • Researching new equipment to keep Evoke up to date in technology and efficiency in production.
  • Troubleshoots printing & design and color problems for customers, and seek best options to meet the needs of the customers.
  • Maintain security and confidentiality of material and information processed.
  • Conduct monthly and yearly inventory of consumables
  • Responsible for daily electronic timekeeping as it applies to the scope of this position.
  • Regular, punctual attendance as required by the supervisor based on department needs.
  • Performs other duties related to job description as assigned by supervisor.
