Job Description

3.3.1.1. Responsibilities
3.3.1.1.1. Provide in-depth knowledge and experience with specific PeopleSoft products or families of enterprise applications, such as PeopleSoft modules, and associated applications interface technologies
3.3.1.1.2. Develop standards and best practices for the use of enterprise products and applications
3.3.1.1.3. Determine of technical inadequacies and deficiencies that affect functional area's ability to meet organizational goals
3.3.1.1.4. Work with information technology professionals to provide insight and advice to senior managers and executives, concerning the strategic direction and applicability of enterprise-based products
3.3.1.1.5. Create technical strategies for enhanced operations to improve productivity across WMATA
3.3.1.1.6. Educate WMATA staff with regard to product-specific best practices
3.3.1.1.7. Participate in technical assessments and reviews to validate the technical approach and associated work product, such as ERP implementations
3.3.1.1.8. Provide guidance and direction to other professionals, and act in a consulting or advisory capacity
3.3.1.1.9. Coordinate resolution of highly complex problems and tasks
3.3.1.1.10. Operate under the pressure of deadlines

3.3.1.2. Minimum Requirements
3.3.1.2.1. Ten (10) years of General IT experience including formal training and two (2) years' experience in Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) methods, plus formal training and one (1) year experience in enterprise applications
3.3.1.2.2. Possess technical area expertise to assess the operational and/or technical baseline of an organization as specifically associated with its functional components
3.3.1.2.3. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Systems, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering/Engineering Technology, Software Engineering/Programming, Management, Natural Sciences, Mathematics or Business/Finance. Experience requirements may be substituted with a Master's degree (in subjects described above) and six (6) years' experience; a PhD Degree (in subjects described above) and four (4) years of General IT experience. Three (3) years of additional applicable experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree

3.3.1.3. Experience Level
3.3.1.3.1. Expert level, with ten (10) years of General IT experience, including formal training, and two (2) years' experience in BPR methods, plus formal training and one (1) year experience in enterprise applications
