The Board of Trustees of the Institute for Clinical Social Work (ICSW) invites applications and nominations for the position of President. The President serves as the Chief Executive Officer, providing vibrant and creative leadership in the areas of vision and planning, budget and management, and program development. The President is also charged with all strategic and operational decisions within the day-to-day workings of the Institute. S/he will make final decisions on hiring, policy changes, and developmental directions. The President will report directly to the Board of Trustees.
This is a fast-track search with an appointment of the President scheduled for mid-June 2017. The new President is expected to take office early July 2017.
Founded more than 35 years ago, ICSW is an accredited private institution based in Chicago, IL that offers graduate programs in clinical social work and counseling psychology. ICSW prepares scholars and practitioners to advance knowledge in the fields of clinical social work, counseling, and psychotherapy. A combination of theory, research, and clinical learning within a psychodynamic framework provides students with the experience to become leaders in clinical, administrative and academic environments.
Close collaboration with faculty members and intensive clinical training are among the hallmarks of the ICSW experience; the academic programs provide students with a rigorous education steeped in the issues and challenges facing clinicians today. Curricula are strategically designed to enrich the relationship between the classroom and the clinic, allowing practicing clinicians to make their current professional concerns and ambitions central to their graduate studies.
