Risk Manager - Hiring Immediately!
Immediate need for experienced Worker's Compensation candidate for a company that is in the process of realigning their workers compensation function. They are seeking an outstanding candidate with strong knowledge of the workers compensation claims process. Candidate will be communicating with employers, managers, doctors' offices, workers comp vendors, etc. Previous experience is required.
Manager the workers compensation process by designing and implementing specific strategies to objectively reduce the cost and duration of employee injuries by working closely with third party workers compensation adjusters, insurance carrier(s), broker(s), managed care providers, medical providers, defense attorneys, and the state regulatory agencies while maintaining full compliance with the various state workers compensation acts and regulations.
Organize workflow to achieve efficient coordination, investigation, evaluation, and resolution of assigned claims.
Ensure, communicate and coordinate among the various stakeholders involved in the claim process including, but not limited to, the injured parties, managers, supervisors, third part adjusters, managed care providers, physicians, attorneys, and others.
Reviews internal and external loss detail reports provided by vendor partners, analyze data and prepare trending reports.
Identify key areas of concern, in coordination with the General Counsel and recommend strategies to reduce risk areas.
Monitor, evaluate, and audit third party claim adjusters, attorneys, and related vendors.
Develop proactive training programs for all levels of employees and related vendors as needed to impact the cost and duration of claims to enforce the effectiveness of the company's post loss strategies, including company return to work program and claim allocation charges credits.
Oversees open claims and location relationship of TPA and service providers.
Performs other duties as required.
Demonstrated knowledge of the following:
Five to seven years of related professional experience in risk and managing claims.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (verbal and written).
Strong analytical and presentation skills required.
Education and/or experience: Preferred candidate will possess any combination of education and/or experience equivalent to the completion of a Bachelor's Degree and have five to seven years related professional experience in managing claims and risk management experience required, with a proven track record of achieving measurable results. References required and will be checked.
Communication skills: Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
