Department Overview
The Department of Health Behavior and Health Systems at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Ft. Worth is seeking an outstanding faculty colleague at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (tenure-track or tenured). Located in the Fort Worth cultural district, the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) is one of the fastest-growing academic health science centers in Texas. The University enrolls 2,700 graduate students in the fields of public health, medicine, biomedical science, pharmacy, physical therapy, and physician assistant studies. The University is well-positioned for rapid expansion, matching the growing population and economic vitality of the DFW Metroplex. At this time, the University of North Texas Health Science Center and Texas Christian University (TCU) are planning to launch a new allopathic (MD) medical school. This effort will establish the UNTHSC as one of the few campuses in the U.S. to support both an allopathic and an osteopathic college of medicine. Position Details
The successful candidate will be expected to develop an independent program of research as well as collaborate with other researchers at the UNTHSC. Although all research areas related to health behavior and health systems are welcome, candidates with an expertise in patient safety, disease control, health disparities and underserved populations, women's and children's health, participatory research, substance abuse prevention, and online/m-health interventions are especially encouraged to apply.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications:

* PhD or equivalent in public health, psychology, social work or related field.
