The Cinema and Television Arts Department of Columbia College Chicago seeks applicants for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in Television and Media Studies beginning August 2017. Candidates should have expertise in television studies, with demonstrated teaching and research experience in one or more of the following areas: critical media studies, media history, media industry studies, race, gender, sexual orientation, issues of equity and social justice, and studies of television and new media frameworks.

Candidates should have a demonstrated capacity for research and practice in their areas, teaching experience, and a willingness to help build curriculum.

The Cinema and Television Arts Department is one of four departments in the School of Media Arts, which includes Audio Arts and Acoustics, Communication, and Interactive Arts and Media.

PhD in media studies or a related field is required.To apply please visit:
