Job Description

You will be responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, and production support of the Lionbridge enterprise network spanning, 46 global offices and supporting over 6,500 employees.

The ideal candidate will possess both managerial and hands on technical skills and will prefer to have a balance of both roles in their typical workday. The candidate must be comfortable working independently as well as leading and collaborating with other team members on infrastructure design and troubleshooting activities. Project management, resource planning, and excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities include

Management / Architecture & Design

•Ownership of all networking infrastructure & technologies including; routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, Intrusion detection / prevention, network management, customer / enterprise VPNs
•Stay current with industry technologies, identify and advocate solutions for continuous improvement
•Implement technologies, reporting, and process standards to optimize operational efficiency, availability, and performance to meet service levels
•Collaborate the larger Global Technology organization to deliver and support numerous internal and customer facing SaaS applications
•Work with business stakeholders to understand needs and implement solutions based on those needs
•Manage projects initiatives, create project and implementation plans. Communicate with and coordinate internal and external project resources as needed
•Define processes and supervise all change management activities associated with the network infrastructure including communications, approvals, procedural documentation, and production acceptance
•Create and maintain processes and documentation for incident and problem management including notification, escalation, and standard troubleshooting procedures
•Supervise resolution of all production outages
•Daily management and prioritization of project initiatives with production operational workloads
•Routine reporting of operational and project status

Production Operations

•Proactive monitoring of all network infrastructure
•Ownership and resolution of production outages and problems
•Perform routine network administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
•Provide escalation level support to remote offices and the corporate helpdesk
•Participate on project teams and provide network infrastructure services to other IT teams
•Create required documentation and follow change management processes
•Create and maintain detailed network infrastructure diagram and documentation
•Provide after hours on-call support as needed


10+ years' progressive experience as a network engineer or related discipline with 3+ years in a lead, supervisor, or managerial role
Deep knowledge of enterprise networking including protocols, QOS, routing, switching, firewalls and load balancing
Must be hands on, with advanced troubleshooting and technical skills
Cisco routers, ASA Firewall, and Nexus data center switches
F5 Load Balancers
Routing technologies (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
MPLS, DMVPN, ISPEC VPN, and Wireless enterprise networks
Familiarity with WAN acceleration technologies and service providers preferred
Public / Hybrid Private cloud experience preferred
Experience supporting a mixed Linux & Windows Server environment with a working knowledge of Windows Active Directory and related technologies
Must possess excellent technical written and verbal communications skills

Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience in related field
