Pediatric Plastic Surgeon
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of pediatric plastic surgery with a focus on cleft repair and craniofacial procedures. Responsibilities include building a clinical practice in pediatric plastic surgery, with secondary duties related to adult patients; teaching of medical students and plastic surgery residents; and pursuing clinical research related to cleft repair and other topics in pediatric plastic surgery. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery or eligible for such certification.
Candidates with a focus in international medicine and experience in microsurgery and cleft repair will be preferred. The successful applicant will become a member of the Division of Plastic Surgery at the nationally recognized Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He/she will practice primarily at CHOP, but will also have duties one day per week at the Shriner's Hospital.
