This position is responsible for coordinating the recruitment efforts for Facilities. Duties including: writing and posting vacancies; recommending qualified candidates for job openings; conducting interviews and reference checks; submitting background check requests; and completing the new hire process. This position maintains compliance with Veteran's Preference guidelines and applicable collective bargaining agreements. This position also provides guidance to hiring departments on posting requirements, salary ranges, and other items related to employment and promotional opportunities.
This position coordinates the biweekly time/labor and payroll process for Facilities by assisting departmental time and labor representatives in the resolution of time/labor and payroll issues. This position also makes recommendations on implementing procedures and processes to increase efficiency of time/labor and payroll processes, including conducting and organizing training.
Serves as a liaison between departmental representatives and supervisors in the administration for the employee performance review process for USPS and A&P employees in Facilities. Provides guidance and facilitates training on policies and procedures related to the performance evaluation process.
Supervises OPS and Work Study employees responsible for providing clerical assistance for the Facilities Human Resources office, such as filing secure and confidential employee information. Assists with special projects and presentations, coordination of the FSU Community Service/Probation Program, and other tasks as needed.
A Bachelor's degree and two years of experience related to the duties of this position; or a high school diploma and six years of experience related to the duties of this position. (Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)
Experience working with various levels of employees and management in a professional environment.
Experience providing excellent customer service and strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
Effective communication, writing, critical listening, and problem solving skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office.
Experience handling confidential information appropriately; exhibits a high degree of discretion and sound judgment in decision making.
Experience working with applicable computer applications and basic computer functions, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
Previous experience with OMNI.
This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
