The clinical dietitians are responsible for the nutrition care of all assigned hospital in-patients. Their primary responsibilities will be to analyze lab data, physical findings and examination; prepare nutrition plans for assigned patients per acuity matrix, and use all available data to chart patient information and plan. Among role as stated above, this person will participate and present in continuing education of fellow health professionals as well as serve as a preceptor for the dietetic internship.

This position will be located in Nutrition Support/Critical Care in Chandler Hospital. An additional responsibility of this position is to participate as part of the feeding tube placement team (training will be provided). Experience in adult nutrition support is preferred.

Certification as a Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) will be required within three years of hire.

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements for this position include: regularly standing/walking with objects up to 10lbs, regularly sitting at a computer work station for extended periods of time (includes repetitive motions).



Shift

Monday-Friday, approximately 8am-5pm, occasional weekends and holidays.



Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

The ideal candidate will be able to integrate laboratory data, current practice guidelines, make clinical judgments and recommendations; and also have excellent clinical skills and communication skills.
Certification as a Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) will be required within three years of hire.
