The Clinical Trials Coordinator, as a member of the Markey Biospecimen Procurement and Translational Pathology Shared Resource (BPTP-SRF), will work with the Markey Clinical Research Organization to determine specimen requirements for clinical trials, develop collection protocols and SRF budget and ensure appropriate specimens are collected, processed and shipped. Will clarify research collection process for ancillary clinical staff. Manage study documentation related to specimen collection. Work with Cancer Research Informatics, to develop databases to manage information related to specimen collection and shipping, patient data and research results. Other duties: administering informed consent, collection and processing of specimens for bio-banking and data entry, as needed to ensure continuity of all BPTP clinical research and bio-banking services. Must work collaboratively with MCC core staff, clinicians, researchers, clinical staff and patients. Attention to detail is critical.
