College of DuPage seeks adjunct faculty members to teach courses in Fire Science for Summer/Fall 2017.
Opportunities may exist to teach a flexible schedule that may include teaching assignments during days, evenings and weekends.
Position Title: ADJUNCT FACULTY, Fire Science - Summer/Fall 2017
Duties of Position:
Adjunct Faculty instructors at College of DuPage are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings, courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as, face-to-face, on-line, hybrid and/or blended formats. In addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.
Experience and Education:
An Associate of Applied Science (AAS degree) in Fire Science or the equivalent, licenses and certifications may be accepted in lieu of a degree. Certification in Basic Operations, Firefighter/Firefighter II, Advanced Firefighter III, Fire Officer I or Fire Officer II, Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Lead Instructor, Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) licensed Paramedic, and other certifications as required for certain disciplines. 3-5 years of fire service experience required.
