Job Description Summary
Massage Therapy - Theory & Practice
Teaches a full range of lecture and lab credit courses in Massage Therapy program such as theory and practice of massage.
High School Diploma with at least three years teaching experience or an associate degree from an accredited college or university.
Must have a current State Medical Board of Ohio massage license and have practiced under that license for a minimum of three years.
Must have flexibility to teach either day or evening/weekend courses from semester to semester.
Willingness to learn and/or have experience in the use of instructional technologies to teach traditional, hybrid and/or distance learning classes, and /or as a supplement
Knowledge and skills in a variety of computer usage and software applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in basic sciences or related field. Advanced Massage Therapy training, with CEU’s documented in Myofascial Release, Trigger Point and Muscle Energy Techniques.
To be determined based on business unit need. Classes may be offered during the day, evening and/or weekend. Please indicate your availability when applying for this position.
Target Hiring Rate/Salary
This is a part-time (adjunct) faculty position.
Adjunct faculty positions are ongoing pooled positions. Therefore, your materials will remain on file and be reviewed on an as needed basis.
