Clinical experience in complex ablation including epicardial VT procedures and laser lead extraction is very desirable. Academic appointment and opportunities for leadership positions will be commensurate with experience.

MCG at Augusta University Medical Center has two full time dedicated EP labs, cryoablation, advanced mapping capabilities and Stereotaxis technology. Our EP section also closely collaborates with CT surgery on hybrid AF ablation procedures, as well as pediatric cardiology in the care of patients with congenital heart disease.  An integrated team of advanced practice providers, nurse clinicians and research nurses supports our EP section. The Cardiology Division has ACGME accredited training programs in both Adult Cardiology and Electrophysiology.  We are actively engaged in clinical, translational, outcomes-based and bench research projects including device, ablation, and cardiac stem cell protocols
