Job description

Duties: Work with Director of Network Operations and Administrators from the three network offices in the daily management of fiscal and administrative functions, including conducting cost analysis between the offices. This will involve conducting extensive profit/loss analysis including analyzing income from PFP insurance plans. Will also continually monitor, analyze and make recommendations to the Director regarding compensation around production for all Dental Care Network staff. Will manage the accounts for School of Dental Medicine (SDM) clinical operations totaling approximately $12 million annually. Will work with Fiscal Operations to develop and monitor budgets, ensuring compliance with University policies and procedures and serve as the main contact within the Dental Care Network for these issues. Prepare and analyze monthly reports, monitor and communicate spending patterns and account surpluses/deficits and variance analysis. Will serve as the point of contact, working with the SDM Human Resources Director, for hiring paperwork and the posting of new positions.

Qualifications: BA/BS in Finance and/or Accounting with 3-5 years progressive experience in financial administration and/or accounting required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Direct experience with clinical operation preferred. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, UMIS, BEN Financials purchasing, general ledger and budget entry applications. Hyperion Budget Planning, Business Objects and Dentrix preferred. Thorough knowledge of University financial and human resources policies and procedures required. Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to function in a high-volume environment. Understanding of dental terminology highly desired.
