Peer I is a Therapeutic Community that offers long-term, intensive treatment for adult males with history of substance dependence. Peer I is licensed by the Colorado Department of Human Services, Office of Behavioral Health (OBH), and is contracted by the Colorado Division of Criminal Justice as a Community Corrections center. Clients are referred from the criminal justice system, a direct judicial sentence, or from a variety of non-criminal justice agencies.

ARTS is seeking a full-time, University Staff (non classified), House Manager/Supervisor to monitor client daily events/activities, facilitate client progress through the residential component and ensure client/facility security/safety; supervisor to program staff that works in that milieu environment; supervise staff in accordance with DCJ, OBH and DORA standards to assist staff with their professional growth and development; conduct yearly evaluations and required coaching sessions in accordance with University guidelines.

This position is responsible for the day-to-day activities for the Peer I program they manage. These duties will include:

*Serving as the House Manager/Supervisor and monitor client and staff activities.

*Provision of regular clinical supervision to staff within the milieu setting, including client/facility security/safety, on-going face-to-face meetings with staff, review of clinical documentation, provision and documentation of coaching and feedback to staff.

*Proficiency in the use of the electronic health record system and will ensure that the staff they supervise are also proficient in its use.

*Oversight of client records and will ensure staff maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

*Proficient understanding of rules and standards set forth by DCJ and OBH. Ensure staff are also familiar with these rules and standards.

*Regular evaluation of program's adherence to rules and standards and will prioritize achievement of on-going compliance.

*Provision of on-call assistance, as needed to lower level staff.

*Provides individual and group counseling.

*Completion of training on evidence-based practices.

*Professional and effective written and verbal communication with internal personnel and external agencies.

*Other duties, as assigned

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates will be responsible for travel expenses related to the interview process and any relocation expenses, if applicable.

Salary and Benefits:
The starting hiring salary for this position is $38,736 - $41,640 and is negotiable and commensurate with skills and experience. This position is eligible for overtime compensation.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

*A high school diploma or GED

*Three years of experience working in a substance abuse treatment environment with a focus on offender issues (i.e., trauma, domestic violence; mental health treatment; re-integration) which included two years serving in a supervisory role.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

*Must possess and maintain a Certified Addiction Counselor Certification Level III (CACIII) or LAC

*Must agree to fingerprinting and criminal background check. Required background checks include a review with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) AND the Central Registry of Child Protection (Trails).

*Subject to pre-employment, post-accident or incident or reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing per UCD Addiction Research and Treatment Services Department Policies.

*Individuals in recovery from substance abuse must have one year's abstinence from alcohol and drug problems.

*In accordance with the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA), ARTS cannot employ individuals who may have contact with residents who have (1) engaged in sexual abuse in a prison, jail, lockup, community confinement facility, juvenile facility, or other Institution (as defined in 42 U.S. C. § 1997); (2) been convicted of engaging or attempting to engage in sexual activity in the community facilitated by force, overt or implied threats of force, or coercion, or if the victim did not consent or was unable to consent or refuse; or (3) been civilly or administratively adjudicated to have engaged in the activity described in (1-3) of this section. Material omissions regarding such misconduct, or the provision of materially false information, shall be grounds for termination

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

*Bachelor's degree in counseling, human services, or closely related field
*Experience working in a therapeutic community
*Experience providing group and individualized clinical care for adult clients in a substance abuse treatment environment
