This is a unique opportunity to work in an academic and clinically busy orthopedic sports medicine practice with one of the premier sports medicine groups in the front range of Colorado as a Sports Medicine Researcher at Children's Hospital Colorado and the University of Colorado Denver - Anschutz Medical Campus

Examples of Work Performed:

Establish a successful research program leading to publications in well-respected refereed journals, present research findings at regional, national, and international conferences, and secure funding for research studies from intramural and extramural sources. Oversee and develop all research activities within the Sports Medicine Center, ensuring a consistent line of peer-reviewed publications. Advise and mentor fellows, residents, medical school students, graduate students, or undergraduate students who are involved with research activities in the Sports Medicine Center. The individual will contribute to the research mission of the hospital in the emphasis areas of orthopedics and neuroscience.

Minimum Requirements:

Ph.D. in a sports medicine related field and relevant post-doctoral research experience with an established expertise in a defined area of research. The individual will have a strong publication record, exhibit the potential to secure extramural funding, and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Persuasive and passionate communicative skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • The individual should have completed his/her post-doctorate education at a nationally recognized sports medicine research program in the specific areas of sports medicine of concussion and biomechanics.
  • The individual should have experience overseeing research activities performed by sports medicine staff at a nationally recognized sports medicine research program.
  • The individual should have contributed significantly to the orthopedics and neuroscience literature.
