Job Description
Under the supervision of the Director of Major Gifts, the Assistant Director of Development will build, manage, and steward a portfolio of donors, primarily in the $1,000 to $25,000 gift range.The Assistant Director will also provide strategic leadership and management of special projects such as the Moore School Centennial, capital campaign, and scholarships/fellowships.


Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in related field and 4 years relevant program experience, or bachelor's degree and 6 years relevant program experience.


Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of fundraising software (e.g. Raiser's Edge, Millennium, Advance). Ability to analyze data and formulate reports and strategies for gift solicitation, moves management and stewardship. Knowledge of prospect research and the available tools to assist with constituent research. Ability to effectively communicate and maintain relationships with board members, faculty, staff, and other individuals. Knowledge of various policies and procedures related to an Advancement operation. Ability to develop and provide oversight to various projects (project management). Knowledge and experience in fundraising software in an advancement or development office required. Strong communicator. Ability to work independently and to make sound judgments. Ability to maintain confidentiality as required related to constituent information and the advancement office. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software. Advanced user of Excel and Word.
