Supervises Museum's Accounting Department personnel and oversees data information in FSU Foundation systems Financial Edge and Raisers Edge.
Manages the work of the Accounting Department, ensuring work is accurate and in compliance with accounting standard, State, and FSU policy. Resolves accounting and budgeting problems and requests necessary documentation and approvals for audit purposes. Reviews monthly schedules and reconciliations done by Accounting staff. Posts journal entries and accounts payable. Responsible for completing all monthly/yearly work to ensure financial statements are accurate.
Responsible for the accuracy of the general ledger accounts in the Financial Edge accounting system. Generates or reviews financial statements and other reports and analyses for management, the board, and FSU.
Responsible for oversight of the general ledger function of the FSU Foundation eCRM database. Supervises revenue and eCRM input duties of accounting personnel, monitoring workload, making assignments, delegating responsibilities, and approving leave. Makes hiring decisions and conducts employee performance evaluations in consultation with the Assistant Director.
Monitors and reviews FSU and Ringling Foundation P-Card purchases. Enters coding information in OMNI, prepares monthly reconciliations, and obtains required approval signatures.
Works with contracted audit firm to coordinate annual audit for the Ringling Foundation; reviews and provides information and schedules as required. Advises and makes recommendations to Museum management as needed for compliance with audit requirements. Provides information for tax returns.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and 4 years' experience.
Experience in non-profit and/or governmental accounting.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Anticipated Salary Range
High $40's to Low $50's
