The University of Kentucky Healthcare (UKHC) Enterprise is seeking a Coding and Documentation Manager. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to: compliance auditing of physician and provider documentation; compliance auditing of output from a centralized billing unit; providing interpretation of audit results; performing billing claims reviews for compliance; and identifying audit issues to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of this position include: occasionally lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to 50lbs; occasionally standing or walking with objects up to 10lbs; regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time while performing repetitive motions (such as typing); occasionally dealing with combative and/or violent people; and occasionally (less than 10% of the time) participating in job-related travel.



Shift

Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00p.



Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

The ideal candidate must possess CCS and/or CPC certification and a strong understanding of complex requirements and regulations. This candidate will also have a high ethical standard, the ability to work in a team-based collaborative environment, high-level communication and leadership skills, effective business writing, creative thinking, and data analysis skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Education/Experience

Bachelors and 4 years of experience in healthcare coding and documentation compliance. Knowledge/analysis of complex requirements and regulations for a hospital setting.
