Assistant Scientist (Biochemistry and Molecular Biology)
The University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Scientist. This position has the responsibility for the initial design and execution of the experimental aspects of the project. Additional responsibility consists of producing first drafts of manuscripts and presenting the work at meetings and seminars.
The candidate should have a Molecular Biology or Biochemistry Ph.D. as well as extensive Postdoctoral experience with E. coli Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. Experience with DNA recombineering, Western blotting, Northern blotting, enzyme purification, in vivo and in vitro RNase assays, and other standard biochemical laboratory techniques is desirable.UHealth-University of Miami Health System, South Florida's only university-based health system, provides leading-edge patient care powered by the ground breaking research and medical education at the Miller School of Medicine.
