ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE: Salary commensurate with experience within state guidelines
In this challenging role, you will support the Aircraft Maintenance Technology department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following:
-Instructional Development: Assist the department head with new course development and curriculum changes; develops and maintains course documentation; reviews and selects textbooks for courses in subject areas; maintains audio-visual and other materials for courses taught; is organized and well prepared for class; schedules class and lab time effectively.
-Teaching Performance: Provide students with course syllabus, grading, and attendance policies, and other relevant information the first day of class; relate instructional materials, discussions, and other course activities to course objectives; demonstrate effective interaction skills; utilize a variety of teaching methods including technology; use practical examples and illustrations; pace the instruction over the term; provide students with timely tests; return test results in a timely manner; relate tests to course objectives; follow department and college grading policies.
-Student Advisement: Maintain required office hours; publicize office hours and availability; refer students to persons for appropriate assistance; maintain appropriate records according to state and college regulations meet with students in a timely manner; display sensitivity to students' needs and problems.
-College and/or Community Service: Assist with recruitment as required; assist with job/transfer placement or recommendations as required; cooperate with or participate in projects/activities of other instructional and support areas in fulfillment of the college's mission; serve effectively on college/community committees/teams; support continuing education efforts of the college.

A high school diploma, four years work experience in Airframe (A) and/or PowerPlant (P) topics as listed in FAR Par 147 Appendix B, C, and D and a Federal Aviation Administration A and P certificate; or an associate degree, and two years work experience in Airframe and/or PowerPlant topics as listed in FAR Par 147 Appendix B, C, and D and a Federal Aviation Administration A and P certificate; and most recent work experience that meet requirements listed in FAR 65-83.
-Two years teaching experience.
-Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with students, faculty and staff.
-Strong Microsoft office computer skills.
-Excellent communication skills in classroom and lab environments.
-Outstanding technical abilities with aircraft and equipment.
-Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, bend, stoop, and have strong electrical/avionics experience.
