Essential functions of this position:
Develop and distribute sports marketing promotional materials. Assist with developing, organizing, and implementing special events and student attendance promotional events to increase involvement with UNCW Athletics. Serve as liaison for the UNCW mascot by hiring staff and coordinating appearances. Hire, train, motivate and supervise student employees. Develop and conduct community outreach programs for youth sports organizations in the area. Work closely with the Seahawk Club, Athletics Facilities and Events, and the Athletic Ticket Office for fan engagement related activities.
N.C. Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Strong customer service focus with the ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, student body, and community
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Ability to organize and present ideas, materials, and concepts accurately and within required deadlines
Ability to work independently
Knowledge of collegiate sports and NCAA regulations that impact responsibilities
Must be available to work evening and weekends for events
Preferred education, professional skills and experience:
Previous experience in marketing collegiate sports programs
Recruitment Range: $29,000 - $31,000
NC Salary Grade Equivalency: 62
Hours Per Week: 1.0 (40 hours per week)
Months Per Year: 12 Months
Work Days: Monday - Friday , must be available for weekend/evening work due to athletic events
Work Hours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM - some evening/weekend hours
