Adjunct Professor - Introduction to Financial Accounting

A pioneer in innovative academic programs since 1897 Bay Path University is seeking an adjunct faculty member for this on-ground course at our Bedford, MA location. Class begins June 1, 2017, class time 7:30am – 12:00pm.
The primary objective of this course is to explore how accounting information is used to help managers make decisions with an emphasis on their planning and control activities. This objective is accomplished by exploring the terms that are used to classify costs, key business cost behavior patterns, costvolumeprofit analysis, budgeting, raw materials and direct labor variance analysis, shortrun decision making using relevant costs, and performance evaluation. Students are also introduced to how product costs are determined in manufacturing, merchandising, and service businesses.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in related discipline. Previous college level teaching experience preferred but not required. Teaching adult students in an accelerated format preferred.
