Title: Call Center Representative

Reports To: Call Center Manager

Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to assist Atlanta Postal Credit Union to live out our Mission, "To help our members achieve financial success by providing exceptional products and service." Provide information concerning the credit union and its services to the membership.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Deliver outstanding service to both internal and external members that is in alignment with our Service Promises:

  2. Process Visa payments.
  3. Process phone requests for check withdrawals and account transfers.
  4. Assist members with basic loan questions.
  5. Provide telephone information to members in a pleasant and efficient manner.
  6. Answer account questions for members.
  7. Document research problems and pass them to the appropriate credit union department.
  8. Verify funds on share draft accounts.
  9. Mail new account information.
  10. Code member accounts for bad addresses.
  11. Retrieve main mailbox voicemail/email messages.
  12. Balance teller totals at the end of each day.
  13. When a member wants to purchase a CD and they have called in, the Call Center Representative will take the information over the phone and do everything on the CD job description under job summary.
  14. Order checks for Platinum Checking accounts.
  15. Put stop payments on checks.
  16. Reset members for internet branch.
  17. Instruct members on internet branch and bill pay.
  18. Run and work reports for bill pay and internet.
  19. Complete reorder ATM/Debit cards and mail to visa department.
  20. Complete speed pay forms and email to collections.
  21. Assist members with questions regarding the courtesy pay program, its benefits and features.
  22. Comply with all aspects of BSA/AML and OFAC regulations as they relate to this position.
  23. Other duties as assigned.

  1. Excellent attendance/punctuality.
  2. Outstanding phone etiquette.
  3. Strong communication skills.
  4. Must have a positive, can do, attitude.
  5. Above average computer skills.
  6. Knowledge of credit union products and services.
  7. Able to multitask.

Physical Job Requirements:

Must be physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines such as calculator, typewriter, computer, printer, facsimile, telephone, copier, etc. Must be able to stand, bend and stoop as needed. Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of twenty to fifty pounds.
