Description of Position
1. Coach and administer an intercollegiate Men's Water Polo program.
2. Knowledge of and abide by the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) rules and regulations that govern intercollegiate athletics at the community college level.
3. Oversee team practices, recruiting, budget, fundraising and preparation of schedule.
4. Implement strength and conditioning program specific to each team member's event.
5. Supervise assistant coaches and ensure all CCCCD and CCCAA rules, policies and regulations are being adhered to.
6. Ensure the academic success of DVC water polo student athletes by understanding the CCCAA, NCAA, and NAIA academic eligibility requirements for participation and transfer.
7. Meet regularly with the Athletic Director on issues associated with program development and provide reporting on transfer status on each student athlete.
8. Maintain an environment of academic instruction and comply with other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
9. Prepare student athletes to transition to a four year intercollegiate level with the academic and athletic tools necessary for success.

Minimum Qualification-Education/Experience
The minimum qualifications are any bachelor's degree and two years of experience, or any associate degree and six years of experience.

Desirable Qualifications
Master's Degree with experience teaching, coaching and recruiting at the college level.

Special Instructions to Applicants
$10,920 stipend for In-Season Coaching responsibilities, including teaching Intercollegiate Team class; $59.70-$84.36/hr for Off-Season Conditioning class.
