Job Description

General Position Summary:

Financial Account Specialist II, primary responsibilities will be to process moderate to complex transactions.

Primary Function/Major Responsibilities:

* Lease Accounting

Set up new contracts in Leasepak

- Review client transmittal resolve missing/incorrect data

- Book contracts on Leasepak
  • Apply any suspense monies
  • Generate first invoice
  • Audit bookings, correct as needed
  • Suspense review

    * Cash Application

    Process properly approved simple adjustment requests; prepare Leasepak journal entries as needed
  • Post lockbox cash receipts, incoming wire transfers and direct debit payments to customers' account with the proper effective date
  • Route customer correspondence to appropriate department
  • Post NSF checks and assess applicable NSF fees
  • Process direct debit payments
  • Prepare Leasepak journal entries to record cash received on closed contracts

    * Process moderately complex payoffs and terminations

    * Process standard contract adjustments

    * Interact daily with assigned operating units to process/complete transactions

    * Other duties as assigned

    Job Complexity:

    Moderate to high degree of complexity, operating from established policies and procedures,. Perform duties with supervision.

    Specific Job Skills:

    This position requires the following:

    * Ten-key calculator by touch

    * Typing 40-45 wpm

    * Good verbal and written communication skills

    * Basic computer skills, including knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet


    * Ability to prioritize duties

    * Prepare business letters, reports, expositions and summaries using proper format

    and conforming to rules of punctuation, spelling, grammar and style

    * Basic lease accounting knowledge

    * Understanding of daily lease accounting functions and procedures, preferably in Leasepak

    * Analyze data, basic tax knowledge

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    Provides minimal guidance to other FASs

    Interpersonal Contacts:

    Telephone and written communication with clients, vendors and staff members, requiring explanation, interpretation and discussion. LeasePak proficient required for internal personnel, preferred for external personnel.

    Education and/or Experience Required:

    High school diploma or GED. One to three years experience in accounting or leasing industry required. Leasepak proficient required for internal personnel, preferred for external personnel.
