The Department of Neurology at The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, an independent non-profit clinical practice group affiliated with The George Washington University and the George Washington Cancer Center, are seeking a neurologist with subspecialty training in neuro-oncology. Appointment will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
The George Washington Cancer Center was recently established to bring together the resources of the George Washington University, the GW Medical Faculty Associates, and the GW University Hospital to expand current research efforts in the fight against cancer and to position our institution as the premier cancer care provider in the Washington, DC area. The Center is partnering with the Department of Neurology to enhance clinical and translational research efforts in neuro-oncology with a goal to develop breakthrough innovations in neurological cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
Board certification or eligibility in neurology, have successfully completed a fellowship in neuro-oncology at the time of appointment, and have evidence of excellence in clinical care and clinical research. Teaching excellence as demonstrated by course evaluations or teaching assessments and scholarship is expected.
