I. JOB OVERVIEW
Job Description Summary:
The Business Management and Analysis Group (BMAG) at the George Washington University functions as an internal consulting group comprised of professionals with academic, financial, business process and project management expertise. They work on a number of exciting university initiatives including business continuity, process improvement, financial and accounting analytics, and new service development.
This Associate position reports to the Manager in BMAG and will be responsible for providing consulting services related to project management, business process analysis and financial analysis.
BMAG Associates perform their job duties under minimal supervision and are generally expected to independently balance multiple assignments simultaneously, manage complex cross-functional projects, provide skilled business process and financial analysis solutions to customers across the institution, bring creative problem-solving and change management talent to engagements, and provide business continuity support to departments with short-term non-recurring requirements.
Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
The BMAG Associate is a telework position with frequent travel to offices in various locations including the Washington, DC and Ashburn, Virginia campuses.
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 2 years of relevant professional experience. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Required Licenses/Certifications/Posting Specific Minimum Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Business or Business Systems related discipline. Significant project management, financial analysis, and business process analysis experience. Experience in higher education a plus.
