Duties: Under limited supervision, provide administrative and project management support for the Director of Boards for Recruitment and External Relations and for the Vice President and University Secretary. Serve as liaison between the Office of the University Secretary and other internal and external offices. Handle work requiring complex and/or specialized knowledge. Use substantial judgment, initiative, and critical thinking in performing duties. Responsible for the administrative coordination of the Office of the University Secretary and the 15 Overseer and Advisory Boards with which the Office of the University Secretary works. Under limited supervision of the Associate Vice President, this position is the primary point of contact for ceremonies and is responsible for leading the Office's engagement in ceremonial events such as Commencement, Convocation, Baccalaureate and other special programs.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 2 years to 5 years of administrative experience, preferably with senior administrators or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Excellent written and oral communications skills; editing and proofreading skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Sensitivity to confidential information. Excellent organizational skills, preferably experience in major event or project management within a large, decentralized organization. Ability to liaise with high-profile luminaries and celebrities. Ability to succeed in taking long term projects from inception to completion. Use substantial judgment, initiative, and critical thinking in performing duties. Maintain trusted, confidential and professional relationship with University and external staffs. Knowledge of Penn or a similarly complex higher education environment is a plus. Advanced/Superior knowledge of and experience with Atlas, MS Office Suite and FileMaker Pro.
