Posting Summary:
Information Technology Services seeks a Senior Project Manager. As part of the Strategic Projects and Initiatives unit, the Sr. Project Manager will plan, manage and track complex IT-security related technology projects in accordance with internal standards and PM best practices. The Sr. PM will be a collaborative IT professional who has led project teams through complex technology initiatives and change with successful and tangible outcomes. The Sr. PM will develop detailed project plans, budgets, schedules, communication strategies, QA plans, and risk management plans. He/she will estimate, coordinate and oversee multiple concurrent projects and milestones, often involving large and/or multi-department teams. Must be diplomatic, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must have demonstrated success in driving and influencing technical team performance when individual team members formally report to other managers. Must have strong record for delivering IT projects on time and on budget. Requires strong persuasion, influence and negotiation skills. Must be skilled and experienced in facilitating meetings and making presentations to steering committees and senior staff. The incumbent will train and mentor other project managers and generally contribute to the success of the Strategic Projects & Initiatives team and the management of the CIO Project Portfolio

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Expert knowledge of PM best practices
Knowledgeable in current IT trends and best practices.
Experienced with large-scale enterprise infrastructure or enterprise applications projects.
Must be diplomatic with demonstrated ability to lead and influence IT teams and colleagues, and negotiate with stakeholders.
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong presentation and meeting facilitation skills.
Must be highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage project teams in a matrixed environment.
