General Summary: The University of North Georgia is accepting applications for 2017 Summer Scholars . This position will assist teachers of STEM and humanities classes with lesson planning, small group instruction, and academic and physical education activities during the four -week academic program. Fluency in Spanish strongly desired and preferred.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The summer scholar will:
  • Attend preplanning sessions in June
  • Lead physical education activities.
  • Assist students during arrival and dismissal times each day
  • Participate in hands on STEM and social studies activities and projects
  • Attend all field trips
  • Keep a daily journal
  • Daily planning


Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Successful completion of Educational Foundations Courses
  • Fieldwork with K-12 students (Total 40 hours)
  • Spanish language fluency preferred
