College of Business - Undergraduate Programs
Provide individual academic advising and interpret policies for undergraduate business students in the development and implementation of their academic schedules consistent with their educational goals and program requirements.
Reviews transfer and readmission applications for their unit, determines excess credit and MAP status at the appropriate Term, coordinates decision with Admissions, and enters MAP term date into appropriate database. Coordinates the evaluation of transfer credit for major requirements and enters into SASS.
Serves as the prospective transfer student contact for the school or college. Assist department advisors with the MAP registration hold process. Works closely with Admissions, academic departments and other advising units within Undergraduate Studies to develop and maintain the mapping system as it appears to transfer students.
Interprets University, SUS and statewide policies and recommends policy within the assigned academic unit to effectively manage the degree mapping system within established guidelines. Monitors and evaluates effectiveness of system and recommends changes as necessary.
Assist in the development and implementation of the academic advising sessions for groups of new business students attending new student orientations.
A bachelor's degree and two years of experience, or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.
Experience advising students.
Customer service experience.
Experience prioritizing and organizing multiple work assignments simultaneously.
A Master's degree.
Experience working in admissions.
This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
Criminal Background Check
