The EMI Coordinator acts as a liaison between departments to ensure all equipment, materials and instruments are operational and available for surgery; ensures and maintains proper inventory and par levels of instruments; orders and maintains the replace/repair program for instruments; monitors instruments needs for service; assists with education of OR staff on operation and care of instruments; build and create new instrument sets; trains providers in the proper setup and use of the equipment, materials and instrumentation; communicates with staff, management, and surgeons to ensure delivery of care in the operating room and case scheduling.

Shift

Primarily Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM with occasional nights and weekends per departmental needs.



Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of surgical products, instruments, and equipment; strong communication and leadership skills; ability to identify/resolve problems and prioritizes effectively.

Preferred Education/Experience

Certified Surgical Technologist with 4 years experience working as a surgical technologist preferred.
