The University of Kentucky Healthcare (UKHC) Enterprise department of Information Technology is seeking an Audio Visual Analyst I. This position will be part of Kentucky TeleCare, which is the telehealth initiative at UKHC and uses diverse technologies to connect providers and patients to improve access to healthcare services for patients in Kentucky and beyond. This position is responsible for supporting those technologies, especially videoconferencing for clinical, educational, and administrative programs.

Required Related Experience

Required License/ Registration/Certification

ITIL v.3 or 2011 Foundation; InfoComm Certified AV Technologist. Certifications are required within one year of hire date.

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of this position include: occasionally lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to 20lbs; occasionally standing or walking with objects up to 10lbs; occasionally pushing a cart on wheels weighing over 100lbs; regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time while performing repetitive motions (such as typing); and often traversing campus and the medical center.


Monday - Friday; 7:00am - 4:00pm. Depending upon demands, hours may be flexible to account for some early morning or late evening programs.


The ideal candidate will always be on-time, be able to solve technical problems with minimal supervision, be capable of interacting with clinical and administrative leadership as they support the various programs that use telehealth technology, and be able to critically analyze the activities of the office to uncover ways to optimize how programs are conducted and how the technology is deployed. This position will also have significant office administration duties, as well as other activities as assigned by the Director. This position requires a team player who is willing to be cross-trained in all aspects of the program and is capable of supporting the other team members.

Preferred Education/Experience

General computing skills with Microsoft office, e-mail, and audio/video experience. Working with videoconference technology is helpful, as is experience in a healthcare environment.
