Summary of Duties:
The successful candidate must have demonstrable evidence of interaction with other disciplines, such as environmental science and engineering, electrical engineering, data systems, computational science, economics, health, and/or the social sciences. He/she will be expected to provide strong teaching and mentorship to a diverse student body, primarily teaching classes in the areas of sustainable infrastructure design, engineering, and construction. We are seeking candidates with strong core fundamentals of design and engineering, and help strengthen the department with research at the intersection of sustainable design of built environment, sustainable materials and systems, and resilient infrastructure.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have an earned doctorate degree in engineering or closely related field by the date of hire; specialization in sustainability; excellent communication skills; and a demonstrated commitment to collaborate with diverse internal and external groups. Candidates for Associate Professor must have strong records of scholarship, teaching, and professional service commensurate with that rank. The candidate is preferred to be licensed or be positioned to obtain their professional engineering license and/or LEED certification within four years.
