Performs a variety of tasks required in the pantry and/or utility areas of dining services. Could include serving, food prep, cleaning and sanitizing of facilities, keeping trays, dishes, silverware, cups, glasses, etc., clean, sanitary, and available for service. This person will work with management and co-workers to instill and foster the value of the Villanova Mission Statement and the Dining Services Mission Statement. This person will focus on our Core Values : Safety and Sanitation, Friendly Courteous Service, Quality, Meticulous Attention to Detail, and Safety. All of our associates should improve our systems and overall operation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities and job tasks vary according to pantry and/or utility role.
- Pantry - Responsible for food prep and customer service including maintaining serving lines and cleaning serving area, prep area, and dining room.
- Utility - Responsible for maintaining and cleaning dishes, silverware, china, along with floors and dish machine.
- Currently enrolled in High School.
- 16 years of age or older.
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours
- Ability to use various chemicals.
- Ability to sit/stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, push, pull up to 30 lbs. independently.
- Ability to withstand extreme temperatures (hot/cold).
